Economics Workshop, founded in 2022, develops solutions to public policy problems facing society. While happy to help with any size of issue or problem, EW is most at home confronting big, complex problems–problems that an organization may not have confronted before and that it is not clear how to address. Through its bottom-up approach to understanding problems and the wide-ranging experience of its founder and President Peter M. Boerger, Ph.D., EW can help clients address a surprisingly wide array of topics.
Peter M. Boerger, Ph.D., trained in applied economics and public policy analysis, serves as President and principal investigator for Economics Workshop. He has extensive recent experience in electric utility economics, technology and regulation. Beyond that subject area, he has experience and interests in a range of other public policy topics. For larger projects, Dr. Boerger is able to draw on and collaborate with other public policy professionals.
People of goodwill come to society’s complex problems with an open mind–seeking only to solve those problems in the best manner possible. EW believes that solutions are best found through developing a thorough understanding of the problem (rather than coming to problems with pre-defined solutions), and that the best solutions fall naturally from from such an understanding.
EW offers consulting services on a project basis or can work on retainer for clients who have ongoing needs. We also seek to work with organizations on larger public policy research projects. Potential clients and partners are encouraged to contact us to arrange a no-obligation discussion as to issues they are confronting.
